The Barndominium™
Shed meets condo, and the result is this awesome 25m wide x 12m deep (clearspan) building with a 1m rafter overhang on one side! Your kit includes a 3m x 12m outdoor area with a roof and 2 sides. And with a height from 5.5 to 6.1m high, it’s got room to swing a very big cat!
The Barndominium is enclosed with an internal wall between garage and living areas (lined on 1 side with Coloursteel), this amazing structure features a full Mezzanine floor to 2 full bays (please note, price does not include stairs).
This kit for this breakthrough building features:
- 5-Rib roof and wall cladding in 0.40mm Coloursteel
- 1m rafter overhang to the front
- Coloursteel ridging, corner & barge flashings
- Vermin-proof flashings to base
- Coloursteel 125mm box gutter as required, downpipes excluded.
- Standard building paper and netting to the roof
- Birdproof roof, rafter and purlin design
- 3 x 3.2m H x 3.2m W Coloursteel Domestic Series 1/A Roller Doors
- 1 x Aluminium personnel access door in a full aluminium frame
- 9 x Double-glazed sash opening windows of various sizes as per images
- 1 x 3m Wx2m H Double glazed window
- 1 x 2m x 2m Double Glazed Ranchslider
- 10m x12m timber mezzanine floor (1.5kPa)
- H5 SED poles with SG8 gauged framing timbers for a tidier finish
- Supplied with screws and gun nails for quicker construction

- The entire ‘house’ portion is framed with studs @ 600mm centres; the ‘shed’ area is girt framed only

Construction costs, as an indication, would be about another $240K+GST, which would include a concrete floor (again, this is for the North Island only).
